Climate
The savannah has almost the same temperature all year
round. The temperature usually ranges from 60 degrees to 80 degrees all year.
The savannah has two seasons the dry season and the wet season. The dry season,
which is from October to March, has the cooler months. The wet season, which is
from April to September, has the hotter months.
The wet season can get up to 25 to 50 inches of rain. There is usually 100 inches of rain the whole year. (February has the least amount of rain.)
There are many landforms in the savannah. Pretty much the whole savannah is grassland. There are also mountains and smaller hills. The savannah even has lakes and rivers, but they can dry up in the hotter months along with the grass and the plants. Then there are valleys in the savannah too.
The soil in the savannah is called laterite. The soil creates a hard crust because of all the rain and dryness of the seasons. The soil in the savannah also contains few nutrients in it.
